Morning light in Antilope Canyon
In April 2024, I did a short roadtrip through the Southwest of the USA. This trip was my first experience with endless red sandstone and highways that would lead straight through the desert for miles. One of the most unforgettable experiences was a hike in Upper Antelope Canyon during morning hours when the sunlight falls straight from above into the narrow, twisting passageways lighting up the canyon walls in beautiful orange and red tones.
Tip: The trip includes a bumpy pickup ride through sand dunes, so be careful with your camera gear as you do not want to have it covered in sand. Also, you are not allowed to bring a tripod so use high ISO, open apertures and short shutter speeds if you want to have sharp images.
